Daredevil's screen history is a valley-peak story. The 2003 film has fans and a genuinely good director's cut; its spin-off Elektra has neither. Then the 2015 Netflix series became the best-reviewed Marvel property of its decade, and Born Again carried that continuity into the MCU six years later.
Watch the Director's Cut of the 2003 film if you watch it at all, skip Elektra unless completism demands, then the three Netflix seasons. Elektra returns in Born Again, so the 2005 film earns a curious footnote again.

Common questions
Do I need to watch the Daredevil movie before the show?
No. The Netflix series ignores the film entirely and tells its own origin. The film is worth one watch for the Director's Cut alone.
